Publisher's description of Videora iPod Converter

Videora iPod Converter is a free iPod video converter that converts
video files, YouTube videos, movies and DVD's so you can play them on
your iPod. The software can convert all types of video files (avi,
divx, xvid, flv, x264, vob, mkv, mpeg, DVD's, YouTube, etc.) into the
proper video formats (MPEG-4, H.264) that play on the iPod. Version
3.0.7 added support for more subtitle formats and improved error
reporting.

This freeware video-to-iPod converter aims to be the ultimate in
desktop iPod and iPhone accessories. It can take just about any video
format, smoothly output it in either H.264 or MPEG-4, and download
YouTube videos. It has some drawbacks, but nothing that outweighs the
benefits of owning this superb converter.

The program is geared for beginners and advanced users by
utilizing two different conversion interfaces. Beginners are walked
through each step of the process, while those more comfortable with
video conversion have all their choices laid out in one pane. The
built-in Internet Explorer points only to YouTube, but it means that
you can easily search the site, download videos, and convert them
without having to jump between apps. Conversion rates were fairly
quick, with a 1-minute FLV taking less than 2 minutes to convert.

The ad-supported app has a heavy footprint, so be prepared to
close some programs if your machine doesn't have at least 2GB of RAM.
This also led to irregular hangs, and we had to restart the program on
numerous occasions after it had been idle for more than 5 minutes.
Also, Videora opens iTunes as soon as a conversion is finished. It's a
convenience for some, but can be disabled should users want.
